The Government have plans as part of the Ten Year Youth Strategy that young people should have a place to go in every area. The focus of the Ten Year Youth Strategy is to "transform leisure-time opportunities, activities and support service for young people." This means more youth clubs will be built or refurbished in all areas.

Money will come from the Big Lottery Fund as well as unused bank accounts and young people will have a say over how some of it is spent. Ed Balls said: "This is the biggest expansion of youth services and children’s play in this country’s history."
