From its beginning the Taizé community has been inspired by two aims: to live in communion with God through prayer and to be a leaven of peace and trust in the midst of the human family. A stay at Taizé is an opportunity to seek communion with God in prayer, singing, silence and reflection. It can be possible to rediscover an inner peace, a meaning to life and a new impetus.

Taizé is located in the South of Burgundy in France. It is the home of an international community and was founded in 1940. It was founded by Brother Roger but today has over 100 brothers from various church traditions and countries. They live a simple lifestyle and have prayer at the heart of their community.

For over 50 years thousands of young adults have spent time at Taizé for a week of prayer and reflection.
